Cobra CPI 2575 2500 Watt 12 Volt DC to 120 Volt AC Power Inverter Review
Ive owned several types and brands of inverters and still prefer the cobra........my current inverter is the 2500 cobra....it runs a tv, a/c, refridgerator, micro wave, blu ray player, and stereo in my semi and has never missed a lick. I have left the truck shut off for as long as 20 hours so far and not had a problem.....most time inverter problems are due to cheap batteries.small gauge wire,long runs of dc current cable.or just not using good sense like trying to run and coffee pot and microwave at the same time......I ran 1/0 cable for 5 feet into a distribution block and two runs of 4 guage about 4 inches long to both pos and neg and also to the frame ground which is a must....if your camping and using 1 or2 batteries be realistic...they wont hoss a 2500 watt inverter very long and will wind up burning it up......thats user error not a flaw in the inverters design.....

hi i live in ST EUSATUIS dutch caribbean, the cobra 2500watts is my power plant for the past year, 24/7. at the congopreserve we run two 18cu fridge, lighting,sound system when there are partys, all power tool 1.5hp jackhammer,power saw, used for construction.
my totaal system is 2500 watts cobra,60 amp trace controller,four 200watts solar panels, 16 ups12-310 88ah used batterys,never had a power problem to this day i vote cobra 2500 goood inverter 12v modified sinewave.

I bought this Inverter online about 18 months ago, It was used in my 18 wheeler to power my 110 refrigerater and Laptop. The unit fan was audibly loud at least for about six months then the fan quit. The unit also produced a lot of RF interference which rendered my CB radio useless at distances greater than 1.5 miles. It has now started shutting down and will not power my fridge so I am upgrading to a Sunforce 4500! I have run two pair of 1/0 cables about 12ft to the inverter from the factory battery box with 4 Interstate Truck Batteries. I also have a Rigmaster APU generator to recharge and monitor the batteries whenever I am not driving. The Cobra got me by for a while but I hope this next will be a more permanent solution!

this is the third inverter I have had on my trailer. The first was a 1500 watt and would run my microwave, coffee pot, etc.. The second was this model and I crossed wires and fried it. This one I have had for over 6 months and it has quit on me. It would not run the microwave, coffee pot, etc unless i was plugged into shore power, and really don't need it then. For intermittent use, it might be OK, but for the use I wanted, it is not.
