6.1-Inch Touchscreen
The 6.1-inch WVGA TFT LCD features a 1,152,000 pixel resolution, boldly displaying your favorite multimedia content and Kenwood's animated user interface for easy navigation of system features.
Customize It
You shouldn't have a problem matching this receiver's illumination to your vehicle's interior or personal preference--it offers a 256-color pallete for choosing your key illumination color. You can also personalize the background by adding images from USB drives.
Built-in Bluetooth
Built-in Bluetooth means hands-free operation so you can keep your hands on the steering wheel where they belong and concentrate on the road ahead. Access your phone book and receive/make calls through the receiver. A convenient microphone is included.
Wide Format Support
The great thing about modern multimedia receivers is they allow you to enjoy all different kinds of media, and the DDX616 is no exception. Play back content from DVD, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, CD, CD-R/RW, CD-ROM, DTS-CD, and VCD discs. Or enjoy MP3/WMA/AAC files from burnt DVDs/CDs or USB drives. You can also play back MPEG1 video files and share your favorite JPEG images.
Rear USB Port
Plug in a thumb drive or other USB storage device for playback of your favorite files, with easy folder navigation. The port will also charge portable devices, and offers control of some music phones via the receiver.
Enjoy Your iPod
Add the optional KCA-iP301V adapter and the USB port also provides simple connection of your iPod/iPhone, allowing you to listen to your favorite music with your car stereo. 50W x 4 MOSFET Amplifier
The DDX616's 50W x 4 MOSFET amp is plenty powerful, but it also features three 2V preamp outputs (front/rear/subwoofer) for system expansion.
System E's+ Crossover System
A single IC that allows the user to select from 8 different high-pass filter crossover frequencies plus pass-through, with independent selection for front and rear outputs. This makes it easy to optimize the performance of all amps and speakers in a car audio system without needing an external electronic crossover. System E's+ also incorporates a phase switch and low-pass filter for the non-fading output. The low-pass filter has selectable cutoff frequencies of 50Hz, 80Hz, 120Hz and Through.
A/V Input/Output
Use the front-panel A/V input to connect external video devices like video game systems or cameras. The A/V output lets you send the signal to an additional monitor.
Rear-View Camera Input
This lets you easily add a rear-view camera for convenience and safety when the vehicle is in reverse.
Expansion Options
Kenwood offers several devices for expanding this system. Add a rear-view camera, HD/SAT radio, GPS navigation, or a steering wheel remote interface. Start with the basics and add as you go.
