I ordered this camera for a multi camera system I am building and needed wide angle lenses. this is advertised as a 170 degree lens. and....it is... but there are TWO measurements for lenses. side to side and corner to corner. this has a 135 degree side to side and 170 corner to corner.
Be aware of the distinction when choosing cameras.
I am very happy with the cameras angle, daylight image accuracy and sharpness.
there is some of the,(expected) aspherical distortion because of the lens angle. that is ok because I want the widest FOV possible consistent with good picture quality.
The camera is small and subtle. really that part is a great value.
the camera has built in guides. I have not had a chance to test this but the quick check I did does not seem to indicate a great deal of accuracy, (my hand moving a foot or two went from the three meter mark to .5 meter mark,), it may work better installed and with some practice, or maybe I was not reading the guides correctly.
the low light operation of the camera really suffers and the total inability to light the camera with an IR illuminater may kill this deal for me. I am still working on a resolution to the problem with the seller. I will update when resolved.
